After long hours of labor, my colleagues and I often reflected on our appearance, noting that we resembled archetypal "Trolls"—disheveled, unkempt, with messy hair, as if we belonged under a bridge. This image, however, was transformed over time with the advent of the internet, which redefined the term "Troll" as an anonymous keyboard warrior often engaging in online banter with Cheeto-stained fingers.

Our aim was to preserve the original connotation of a "Troll"—a resilient, unwavering figure who faces challenges head-on—rather than the modern digital caricature. We believe that choosing a career in skilled trades offers a fulfilling alternative to traditional professional pathways such as law or medicine. Tradespeople can take pride in their work, enjoy competitive compensation, and at day's end, have tangible achievements to show for their efforts.

Despite a strong presence of dedicated men and women in the trades currently, there remains a pressing need to attract young talent into these fields. The prevailing perception often undervalues blue-collar work compared to white-collar professions. It is essential to shift this mindset, recognizing the vital importance and dignity of skilled trades. Supporting and encouraging careers in these areas will ensure a sustainable and skilled workforce for the future.
